• Minimum Age: 18 years
• Maximum Age: 40 years

Age Relaxation: Age relaxation is provided as per government norms for various categories:

• SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) of Chhattisgarh: Upper age limit relaxable by up to 5 years.
• Women Candidates: Upper age limit relaxable by up to 10 years as per Chhattisgarh Civil Services Rules, 1997.
• Chhattisgarh Government Employees (Permanent/Temporary): Up to 38 years. This also applies to contingency paid employees, work-charged employees, and project implementation committee employees.
• Retrenched Government Servants: Can deduct the period of previous temporary service (up to a maximum of 7 years) from their actual age, provided the resultant age is not more than 3 years over the maximum age limit.
• Ex-Servicemen: Can deduct the period of defense service from their actual age, provided the resultant age is not more than 3 years over the maximum age limit.
• Green Card Holders (Family Welfare Program): Upper age limit relaxable by up to 2 years.
• Inter-caste Married Couples (awarded under Untouchability Prevention Rules, 1984): Upper age limit relaxable by 5 years for the non-reserved partner.
• Recipients of Shahid Rajiv Pandey Samman, Gundadhur Samman, Maharaja Praveerchandra Bhanjdeo Samman, and National Youth Award: Upper age limit relaxable by 5 years.
• Employees of Chhattisgarh State/Corporation/Board: Upper age limit relaxable up to 38 years.
• Volunteer Home Guards and Non-Commissioned Officers of Home Guard: Relaxation for the period of service rendered, up to a maximum of 8 years, but not exceeding 38 years of age.
• Chhattisgarh Domicile Candidates: As per a circular dated 18.01.2024, the 5-year relaxation in the maximum age limit of 35 years for educated unemployed individuals of Chhattisgarh has been extended from 01.01.2024 to 31.12.2028.

Pay Structure: CG Vyapam Sub Engineer Recruitment 2025

• Pay Scale: ₹35,400/- – ₹1,12,400/- (Level-8)
• Grade Pay: ₹4,200/-
• Basic Salary: ₹35,400/-
• Dearness Allowance (DA) (approx): 53% of Basic Salary, approximately ₹18,760
• House Rent Allowance (HRA): ₹3,600/-
• Transport Allowance (TA): ₹1,800/-
• Gross Monthly Salary: Approximately ₹59,560/-
• Deductions (e.g., Provident Fund, NPS): Approximately ₹10,500/-
• In-Hand Salary: ₹49,000/- per month (approx)

Probation Period & Stipend

• Duration: 3 years
• Stipend Structure:
  • 1st Year: 70% of the minimum pay scale
  • 2nd Year: 80% of the minimum pay scale
  • 3rd Year onwards: 90% of the minimum pay scale
