Educational Qualification

Age Relaxation Provisions: BPSC Assistant Section Officer (ASO) Recruitment 2025

1. Contractual Employees
   • Eligible for age relaxation equal to the period of service on the same post.
   • Maximum age must not exceed 60 years as of August 1, 2025.
   • Experience is counted up to the cut-off date: August 1, 2025.
2. Previously Eligible Candidates
   • Candidates who were within the upper age limit between August 1, 2023, and August 1, 2025 are still eligible.
   • Must fulfill all other eligibility criteria.
3. Regular Bihar Government Employees
   • Granted 5 years age relaxation.
   • Must not have taken more than 5 attempts in competitive exams.
   • A certificate from a competent authority is required.
4. Persons with Disabilities (PwD)
   • Receive an additional 10 years in the upper age limit.
   • A valid disability certificate is mandatory.
5. Ex-Servicemen
   • Relaxation of 3 years + duration of defense service.
   • Age must not exceed 57 years on the application date.
   • Relevant service certificate required.
